Totem was born as an agency of editorial communication and promotion, but like all independent organizations its nature is changeable, and any definition is limiting. Infact, the course of time it has extended its activities to the communication of cultural events in the broadest sense. The structure of Totem is open, its organization variable. The network of people who take care of every project changes with the project self. The methods, means and concepts employed are different for every work and every idea, so the communication strategy is personal and unique. Starting from the book’s contents or from the philosophy behind the project, Totem conceives and realize all that constitutes cultural communication in an integrated manner using traditional media and digital.

The professionals working with Totem are mainly related to the publishing world but non only. So Totem becomes a single but always different point of contact, able to manage simple or complex communication projects, combining a contemporary technological approach to a humanistic, radical, visionary creativity.

The hard core of Totem is composed of:

ANNA VOLTAGGIO: freelance press officer. She was born in Palermo in 1980 and lives in Rome. She graduated in literature from the University of Bologna. She worked as a press officer for Fazi Editore, L’Ancora del Mediterraneo, Cargo Edizioni, Newton Compton.

ELISABETTA TRANCHINA: law consultant. She was born in Palermo in 1980 and lives in Rome. Graduated in law, she has specialized in author rights legislation in the DDA law firm. She is legal advisor for l’Orma editore, and worked as a press officer for Gaffi Editore and Sandro Teti Editore.

GIOVANNI TUSA: Philosopher, he was born in Palermo, now lives in Paris. He specializes in web communication, and supports research projects on the most remote and insoluble issues in contemporary philosophy. He worked for several major European research institutes in order to design innovative solutions for social interactions on the web, and for the identity construction in communication networks.
